While extending my sincere greetings on behalf of my Embassy’s staff and in my own name, I am privileged and honoured to welcome you all to the official website of the Embassy of Mongolia to the Commonwealth of Australia. 
Since the establishment of diplomatic relations back in 1972 Mongolia and Australia have been developing friendly relations and cooperation in political, economic and other fields. In light of further expansion and development of our relationship and with the desire to reach a level of expanded partnership the Government of Mongolia has decided to establish its Embassy to the Commonwealth of Australia, and the Embassy has been opened in Canberra since October 2008.
On our website you will be able to find useful information about Mongolia, its government, people and culture. We are also very pleased to give you more information in regards to Mongolia-Australia relations through our website. Our Embassy staff will be happy and pleased to provide additional information and assistance to all of you. This website also contains information on consular and visa services available both to Mongolians and foreigners. From the 1st of January 2009 all visa and consular issues have been transferred from the Honorary Consulate-General of Mongolia in Sydney to our Embassy in Canberra. The Embassy of Mongolia in Canberra issues visas to Australian and foreign citizens and provides all kind of consular services. In this light, I invite you all to receive visa and consular services from our newly established Embassy and we are looking forward to providing all our services in a proper and efficient manner.    
I hope that this website will further assist you and help broaden the understanding of our beautiful country and undoubtedly expand upon the already friendly ties between these two great countries. I will be happy to hear all your thoughts, comments and suggestions.
